“When I was a teenager in Alberta, Canada, I was hoping to find a teacher who took ballet seriously. I had no aspirations to work within the arts - I simply loved the art of ballet and wanted to practice with purpose. Luckily, I found Ms. Sophia! After my first trial class, I recognised the quality of instruction that I received and immediately changed dance schools. Ms. Sophia’s approach to teaching ballet was uniquely different to what was offered in the area. With an emphasis placed on focusing on one’s technique and artistry, I worked towards RAD ballet exams and participated in the year-end recitals. Our daughters have attended classes at SL Dance Academy since they were little. The teachers and classes are brilliant and we have watched our daughters and their friends grow in confidence as well as develop their dancing skills.
